If you use a microwave for cooking rather than just re-heating things, then a high power oven can significantly reduce cooking times. The quality of certain items like steamed vegetables is improved at higher power levels. This is a really nice oven if you use your microwave frequently and for longer cooking times such as for baking sweet potatoes. Those longer times are now much shorter!

This oven has no turntable and cooks more evenly than a consumer microwave. There are two magnetrons and two rotating antennas hidden inside top and bottom that make this oven superior in evenness of heating. It is easy to keep the flat bottom and stainless steel interior clean.

As indicated in the Product Features section, this microwave requires 240 volt service. In our case this was a modest cost to install. Consult an electrician for an estimate before buying this oven if you have any doubts about meeting its power requirements. It's the high power aspect that mandates the higher voltage and this is no different from an electric range/oven which also uses a special connector and a higher voltage. Note that there is also a 2100 watt version of this oven available on Amazon. More power to you.
