My Igloo chest freezer, model FRF520, stopped freezing. The green and red light still came on and there was clicking noises. The freezer or compressor just wouldn't start past the clicks. So, I took a chance and bought this start relay. I am a female with no mechanical knowledge and I fixed my freezer myself by replacing the part. The hardest part was figuring out how to get the old one out. You do not need to pull it off, you need to pop the clips off using needle nose pliers or a flat head screw driver. That is the one piece of information that I couldn't find online. The picture shows my old starter relay that is broken. It's been 4 days and my freezer is still freezing!

Only had my freezer for a little over a year and it crapped out. What a horrible purchase and horrible luck. Was not happy with my freezer at all.

Found out that the relay could be a problem so I bought this one for super cheap! Replaced the old relay with this new start/stop relay and it worked perfectly within seconds!!!
